While working at d3atech, performed performance prediction on a 470 in preparation for Rio Olympics
During my tenure at D3 Applied Technologies, I conducted performance analysis for 470-class sailing dinghies crewed by Jordi Xammar and Nicolas Rodriguez. My responsibilities included reverse engineering several hull variations, each with slight differences due to construction in different shipyards, and subjecting them to computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations.
The primary objectives were to create performance polars, determine optimal trim settings and crew positioning, and evaluate performance disparities among these hull variations.
Notably, Jordi and Nico achieved the bronze medal at the Olympics
